King Lear

A tragedy by Shakespeare that teaches us that the bear should not give away his coat before he gets shot. It’s a portrait of a king, an honest man, who has our best interests at heart but who is driven mad by his court and especially his two greedy eldest daughters and their husbands. Ton Lutz wears a crown that, on my request, was broken by the costume department of Toneelgroep Amsterdam (Erik Sluijs).
