Maurice Boyer (1951) begon eind jaren zeventig voor NRC Handelsblad te fotograferen. Na zijn leertijd bij de fotografen Robb Buitenman en Bert Nienhuis documenteerde hij de krakersrellen in Amsterdam. Daarmee kreeg hij al snel bekendheid in de krant en daarbuiten. Oog voor compositie en oog voor detail vallen ook op bij zijn werk voor ontwerpbureau Thonik en de talloze registraties van dans-en theaterproducties, die Boyer in opdracht van theatergezelschappen maakte. Opdrachten voor diverse internationale organisaties brachten hem op verschillende plekken in de wereld.

Maurice Boyer (1951) began photographing in the late seventies for the Dutch evening paper NRC Handelsblad. After his apprenticeship with the photographers Robb Buitenman and Bert Nienhuis he documented the squatters riots in Amsterdam. Thus soon he got fame in the newspaper and beyond. Eye for composition and attention to detail is essential in his work for Design Studio Thonik and countless records of dance and theatre productions, commissioned by theatre companies. Various international organizations sent him to different countries in the world.
