This new motif was created based on Selviana’s family legacy of hair comb. This hair comb is passed down from generation to generation in her family, and is worn by brides during wedding ceremonies, to symbolize the completion of dowry.
Based on the patterns and texture of the hair comb, Selviana designed this new motif and named the motif Kemak Tais Serun. This new tenun Ikat is created to be worn by the bride and groom during their wedding ceremony.
